I have nothing to update...but nonetheless we are going to be optimistic and believe that we will all be able to meet Monday, June 15th for the first day of camp/ practice! So consider this your last week of training OYO. For those of you crushing it, keep on crushing it. For those of you that have been motivationally-challenged, use this week to start moving around so you don't get dropped by your wash-uped coach who has been running everyday. Week 5 Training Guidelines:
MONDAY: 32-56min easy run. Within this run you should PUSH for 10-minutes. Core.
TUESDAY: 32-56min easy run. Complete 4xStrides. Drills.
WEDNESDAY: 32-56min hilly run. This run should be completed on a rolling hilly course. Core.
THURSDAY: 32-56min easy run. Complete 4xStrides. Drills.
FRIDAY: 32-56min easy run, Within this run you should PUSH for 10-minutes. Core.
SATURDAY: 32-56min hilly or trail run.
How far should I run:
*24min if you are just starting to train
**32min if you have put a few weeks of 24min runs in but are new to running, coming off injury, feeling fatigued from the training, etc.
***40-56min if you're feeling 100% and are motivated to do great things this fall
